Ice tea popsicles

Looking for a healthy, refreshing and delicious summer snack? ☀️💦🌴

My boys love ice lollies on these super hot days but I find store-bought are just packed with sugars and artificial flavorings! And they often end up asking for more.

I decided to get some silicone ice cream moulds and I made these incredibly refreshing and fruity ice tea pops using the @laagerrooibostea 🫖

For this recipe we used the Cranberry & Wild Cherry Rooibos and paired it with a variety of fruits like blueberries, strawberries and pomegranate 🍓🫐

And for the Green Rooibos with citrus and ginger we added some lemon slices 🍋

Adding some raspberries or lemon into the hot tea really brings through some lovely flavours.

Time to make: (10 minutes prepping, 1 hour cooling, 2-3 hours in the freexer depending on your fridge)

Serving: 8 (1 jar filled half way should make about 4 ice pops)

Step by step:

  1. Choose your favourite @laagerrooibostea flavours into 1 or 2 large jars, and fill it with boiling water just over the half way mark. I choose to make two for different flavours
  2. Add in a table spoon of honey
  3. Add in one or two pieces of your desired fruit to enhance the flavours. (Lemon, berries, ginger etc)
  4. Let the tea cool down for an hour to ensure you get all the flavour out of the tea bag.
  5. Pour into your mould and add pieces of fruit.
  6. Freeze & enjoy 😊

The best thing is you don’t have to feel guilty if you over indulge 🌿

I also bought this silicone mould with the stick from @thebakingtinsa for I think it was R179.

Please tag and share your versions with me on instagram @mamabear_bee_and_her_boys! I’d love to see them!
